I kinda like the prius

A friend of mine has one, and it is surprisingly comfy to be in. Plus, (since his is a prius 4, with almost all the options) it's got a lot of tech, and a seriously good JBL sound system, with quite a bit of bass. Him and I were driving pretty ambitiously coming back from a party last night, and the prius didn't kill us, even though we were taking "suggested speed 25mph" turns at about 40-45mph. It's not fast, i'll give you that, but for what it is, it's actually half decent! Plus, him and I (both tall, quite physically active fellows) look positively hilarious in a red prius with the windows down, blasting Earth, Wind and Fire's "September" through some Washington backroads!

Not gonna lie, a Prius V with the TRD Prius+ package is on me "WANTS" list. Pissed it doesn't have leather or stick though. If it had both, it'd be right below the 928 on my wants list.

The one thing that still amazes me about the Prius, at least the Gen 2, is the rest seat room. Never before have I felt like I had room to stretch out in the back of a car that small.

I think Priuses are cool, I'd really love to own a plug in electric car as a DD and keep my MR2 for weekends.. but I can't justify one to 'save money on fuel' because the outright cost of buying one vs the fuel savings would mean I wouldn't be out in front for about 10 years.

Now maybe if there was a road worthy GT300 Prius I could have instead of the MR2..

Everything in this post can apply to any cheap used car, and nothing about it is unique or done particularly well by the prius. That's what I don't get: What you just described sounds exactly like my high school friend explaining the merits of his 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. It had all of those merits and cost 1/5th the price.
